Imagine my surprise when I found out I couldn’t login to Facebook using any desktop or laptop computer or any browser that I could get my hands on.
Everything I did was futile.
I checked if I could still login to my smartphone Facebook app.
Yes! I could.
I was happy that it wasn’t a hacking issue because of the multiple business accounts which I am managing for a content marketing firm, several celebrities and some SMEs.
I hoped and prayed that everything will be good after sleeping, because it’s way past bedtime and I really had to take full 8 hour sleeps due to a previous headache to jawline pain issues.
The next morning, I tried logging in again, but couldn’t.
Being a technology person, my first step would be to ask support.
Problem is. Facebook isn’t really giving any online real-time support or an email portal where you can rant about the issues you are experiencing.
Stressed and all, I was about to tell our staff to remove me as administrator from those Facebook pages, when I chanced upon a website that adviced me to login in my Facebook business page, then to revert back to my personal page.
My first attempt failed.
After quite some time, I tried again.
Voila! It’s working now.
Happy and thankful that everything is ok and hoping that it doesn’t happen again.
Here’s a better recap.
Rule # 1. Don’t Panic.
Rule # 2. Observe the Issue
Rule # 3. Research. Filipinos might say ‘GMG’. 🙁 Better way to say it is, “Google it”.
Rule # 4. Apply what you learned.
Rule # 5. If things doesn’t work well. Be patient. Hope and pray that it works in a few days.
If you are managing several Facebook pages, it would be wise if there is someone who can be your alternate administrator, when you couldn’t access your account any longer.
I hope this article helps you in any way, when you encounter Facebook’s White Screen of Death.
