Rejoice! Filipino tourists may soon be experiencing visa-free travels to Taiwan after the Taiwanese government approved visa-free privileges for Philippine nationals.
According to a report from state-owned Central News Agency, Taiwan Premier Lai Ching-te has approved the plan to give visa-free status to citizens of the Philippines.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) says that the new measures are expected to be implemented by October 2017.
Filipino tourists who wish to visit Taiwan may seek entry visas through an electronic or online application mechanism.

The National Palace museum, the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Park, Fort San Domingo, Taipei 101, the Giant Pandas in Taipei Zoo, the Maokong Gondola, the Beitoo Hot Springs, the Shilin Night Market and the shopping district of Ximending.
