My daughter arranged a simple birthday surprise for her mother last February 25, 2017. My wife’s actual birthday was on the 24th. Little did she know that our eldest coaxed her aunts to send birthday greeting videos, and compiled them as part of the initial surprises on her actual birthday. This simple gesture made my wife cry with delight. She thought that the simple birthday meals that she got the night of her birthday was all that she would get.
My daughter decided to hold the lunch birthday surprise in Shakey’s SM Sucat and ordered the Shakey’s 2017 Meal deal for a group of 8 people.
It took us a while before we actually persuaded my wife to rush to Shakey’s SM Sucat for lunch. We were a bit anxious, as her surprise guests were already waiting there for almost two hours.
She never expected her sisters, and her niece to be there to celebrate her special occasion.
Her surprised reaction elicited a lot of laughter from the group.
Even without the usual fanfare of a Shakey’s birthday party, Shakey’s 2017 meal deal was enough for all of us to be reunited by her birthday celebration.

For choices, we got the Caesar’s Salad, the Skinny Fries, Spaghetti (they ran out of Carbonara 🙁 ), and the rest.
We saved over 1,800 pesos and still have something for take-out!
