Being a resident south of metro manila has it’s many perks, there’s a lot of food stops anywhere you go.
One of my recent foodstops led me to MEB (pronounced as Ehm Eee Bee), Mexican Food House, another Fil Mex restaurant, this time located along Naga road, Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Pinas city.
Being a digital influencer (blogger), I have to give my audience a food preview, a glimpse of what to expect when dining in a restaurant before they actually go in and try it. Saving them money and time, in the process, than just trying them out on their own.
MEB, which stands for Mexican Exemplary Burritos, is located inside the perimeter of Petron Gas Station Beside Philippine National Bank.
I should say it’s a better food stop compared to other food nooks or food stalls in the area. They do offer a fusion of Filipino and Mexican food.
Wanting to try out the best in MEB, I asked the crew to offer me the house specialty. He politely offered me to try out the Chicken Chiliquiles. I am not quite sure if this is actually a Mexican dish, but its actually similar to Mexican Chilaquiles. However, MEB’s version has a unique flavorful twist in it, and it’s much more healthier. MEB’s version consists of slices of breast chicken, tomatoes, possibly white onions, dressings and cubed melons, yes melons. The melons actually give a certain sweet twist in their Chicken Chiliquiles.
Upon getting in the 12 to 16 seater small restaurant, the crew will offer you a small cup of Turmeric tea, before you actually help yourself with your order.
My order of Chicken Chiliquiles comes with a glass of iced tea for only 128.00.
For those who are looking for another food stop that is uniquely different from the regular burger joints in the place, do come visit MEB.
